Dr. Richard Drake, founder of the chronic dialysis program in Portland, co-designer of some of the first commercial dialysis machinery, talks about the future of dialysis on the Nephrolgy Oral History project.

Maybe we need to really come back full circle, to really putting dialysis more in the hands of the patient, in their home and out of our in-center-type of environment., Drake said.
